about
Irish artist Emma Power lives by the sea in Tramore, County Waterford where she grew up.
Emma’s mother painted all her life and Emma has inherited her love of painting. She uses oil paints and loves to paint outside along the Waterford coast. Emma exhibits in local galleries and participates in plein air festivals each year.
If you would like to see her work, she has a studio gallery beside her home, where people visit to look at her paintings. Emma paints pretty fast so the gallery is usually fairly full of paintings in all sorts of shapes and sizes, on various surfaces, framed and unframed.
"Everytime I paint, I try to catch the light and translate shapes into a finished piece full of atmosphere, so that the viewer feels an emotional connection with what he or she sees."
Emma does a lot of commission work, so if you are interested in something specific and personal to you, then this option might suit you.
You can email her anytime at power.emma@gmail.com, and though she is not renowned for being prompt, she will get back to you.
